HONEY DINERO: Dodging 12-15 foot storm surges while rehabbing in Louisiana and working on music and film projects!
VALIDATED: IN OCTOBER 2019 YOU WERE DIAGNOSED WITH BREAST CANCER, THIS SPARKED THE “PINKHONEY” EP. YOU CHOSE TO SHARE YOUR BATTLES WITH CANCER TO EMPOWER AND INSPIRE OTHERS. WHAT MOTIVATED YOU TO DO SO?
HONEY DINERO: I believe in a higher power and The Most High spoke to me at the time I found the biggest lump. And I was told, “Whatever it’s gonna be, however it’s gonna be; you will be ok!” And then I was given some directives. What motivated me the most was going to treatment and meeting only 1 person who looked like me. However I met 7 young black women with the same type of breast cancer. These women reached out to me through social media after finding my PINKHONEY Lifestyle posts.
VALIDATED: YOU RECENTLY DROPPED YOUR THIRD EP “RETRIBUTION”, HOW DO YOU FEEL YOU’VE GROWN AS AN ARTIST SINCE “PINKHONEY”?
HONEY DINERO: I have become more transparent, more vocal. Instead of giving music that I thought the listeners wanted to hear, I gave them me, through music.
VALIDATED: WHAT CAN FANS EXPECT FROM YOUR LATEST PROJECT, "RETRIBUTION"?
HONEY DINERO: A HARD ALBUM. There is not a commercial record on there. I purposely wanted all hard tracks! I wanted to send a clear message of what is to follow and who I am!
VALIDATED: THE FIRST SINGLE “ON GOD” FEATURING THE BAD SEED, WHATS BEEN THE RESPONSE TO THE RECORD?
HONEY DINERO: Remarkable. It has elevated to the creme de la creme of the Underground as an artist and songwriter. I am now being mentioned in the same conversation as Che Noir, Su- Roc and Armani Cesar. Top tier Dj’s are spinning and cutting up my records. DJ Premier starting his show with “PULL UP TEAM” (SNUBBIE). Lord Jaz from Lords of the Underground going to work, DJ Eclipse and more. Dj’s are now wanting to do projects with me and sending me beats to record to.
VALIDATED: WHAT PRODUCERS AND OTHER ARTISTS DID YOU WORK WITH ON THIS PROJECT?
HONEY DINERO: Team Demo. They did “Crime Wave” for 50cent. Tone Spliff who is remarkable, did the cuts on “On God”. The Bad Seed who is on 3 records and Illa Ghee.
VALIDATED: WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE RECORD OF THE EP AND WHY?
HONEY DINERO: Great Question. I would have to say “MISUNDERSTOOD”! On this track I am completely naked. I am unapologetic and I feel like it’s the fault of those who have misunderstood me. Plus I LOVE Nina Simone, so the sample was fitting (shhhhh).
VALIDATED: YOU’VE LANDED ACTING ROLES IN A HANDFUL OF INDEPENDENT FILMS AND WEB-SERIES INCLUDING THE AWARD WINNING “NEW YORK MINUTE”, WILL WE BE SEEING YOU BACK IN FRONT OF THE CAMERA AGAIN ANYTIME SOON?
HONEY DINERO: I am casted in the Reality Drama called “Undeniable”! I play myself who also plays a Detective. Blah... I really want to be a crime boss or Kung Fu assassin. lol
VALIDATED: YOU’RE INTO MOB MOVIES AND KUNG FU FLICKS, WHAT ARE A COUPLE OF YOUR FAVORITES?
HONEY DINERO: Anything Shaw Brothers, however some of the newer films I really like... “The Grandmaster” and “The New Flying Guillotines”. As far as mob movies, “the Irishman” was extremely good. I prefer 70’s films, anything Blaxploitation, and those similar to “The French Connection”.
VALIDATED: YOUR CLOTHING AND COSMETICS LINE “LUXE 5”, WHAT CAN YOU TELL US ABOUT IT?
HONEY DINERO: I haven’t designed anything lately. I have just been sketching. My clothes are customed but also altered pieces. I almost told the formula. You’ll know it when you see it! One of a kind pieces.
The cosmetics line, I temporarily put a halt to. I want to do it right and there is sooo much to it.

HONEY DINERO: PRETTY BULLI OUT OF BUFFALO, SHEA BARZ OUT OF QUEENS, I LOVE, LOVE MA BARKER! BECAUSE I RELATE TO THEM SPECIFICALLY AND THEIR PEN AND DELIVERY I RESPECT THE MOST!
